Overview:   

Under the direction of the Principal/Vice-Principal, the Administrative Assistant performs a variety of clerical and support work, greets and interacts with the public, and works cooperatively with staff, students and parents while performing the duties listed below in order to create and maintain a courteous and professional work environment at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supports and upholds the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of the school

  • Coordinates school fundraisers
  • Completes NPIS order

Our Lady of Victory Catholic School under the Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown has an opening for a part-time Technology Teacher.  This position provides for the spiritual direction of the students while serving as the instructional facilitator to help students learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able and responsible men and women.  Instructs students in activities designed to promote spiritual, intellectual, physical and social growth.

Key Responsibilites:

  • Maintains the Catholicity of the school
  • Instructs classes that incorporate a program of study to meet the individual needs, interests and abilities of the students
  • Creates a classroom environment that is healthy, safe and conducive to learning
  • Prepares for classes and provides written evidence of plans
  • Encourages students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior

Qualifications Required:

  • Supportive of the mission of the Catholic Church
  • Able to satisfactorily complete background checks and training applicable to diocesan and state requirements
  • PA certification in related field of education
  • Successful completion of State Certification Tests in appropriate subject
  • Bachelor’s degree in field of education relating to teaching assignment
  • Familiarity with data driven instruction
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
  • Experience with online grading and record keeping systems
  • Familiarity with PowerSchool
  • Familiarity with Schoology Learning Management System

St. Joseph’s Catholic Academy is looking for a full-time theology teacher for the 2026-27 school year, with the option of working as the part-time Dean of Students as well.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to teach courses in Catholic theology at multiple levels, including Scripture, tradition, and morality
  • Practicing Catholic in good standing who supports and promotes the Catholic mission of the school
  • Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Religious Studies, Ministry, or related field required. Master’s degree preferred
  • Experience teaching high school students preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Teach theology courses to students in grades 9-12
  • Assist students in recording service hours for graduation
  • Lead the student body in a short prayer service 2-3 times per month
  • Communicate with parents about their students’ academic performance

Dean of Students’ Responsibilities:

  • Implement the day-to-day management of discipline and student conduct issues at the direction of the principal
  • Maintain high standards of student conduct, and enforce discipline as necessary
  • Maintain active communication with students and parents regarding student conduct, attire, and other issues relating to student discipline
  • Annually review the Student-Parent Handbook and work with the principal to revise when necessary
  • Serve as a member of the principal’s administrative team and attend administrative meetings twice per month
