St. John the Evangelist Catholic School is seeking a part-time Administrative Assistant/Registrar to the Principal/Vice-Principal.

Overview:   

Under the direction of the Principal/Vice-Principal, the Administrative Assistant performs a variety of clerical and support work, greets and interacts with the public, and works cooperatively with staff, students and parents while performing the duties listed below in order to create and maintain a courteous and professional work environment at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supports and upholds the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of the school
  • Interacts with the public and employees with tact, discretion and courtesy via the telephone, face to face communication and electronic means
  • Assists Business Manager
  • Sorts and distributes mail
  • Prepares letters, memos, mass mailings, reports and other documentation as requested
  • Schedules and coordinates meetings
  • Attends and provides accurate minutes for faculty meetings
  • Supports school lunch program
  • Assists with enrollment process
  • Maintains school calendar to include events and activities
  • Attends various committee meetings, as necessary
  • Maintains records and files
  • Communicates with outside vendors on behalf of the Principal/Vice-Principal
  • Orders supplies
  • Maintains and coordinates local and diocesan calendars
  • Coordinates school fundraisers
  • Completes NPIS order
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Required:

  • Supportive of the mission of the Catholic Church
  • Able to satisfactorily complete background checks and training applicable to diocesan and state requirements
  • Two years of practical experience within a school system work environment
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to multitask and prioritize work for accomplishment in a timely manner
  • Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality, professionalism and integrity

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with school lunch programs
  • Working knowledge of PowerSchool
  • Working knowledge of Schoology Learning Management System

Position is paid over a 12-month period. Employee must submit a timecard for signature according to the payroll schedule and must have prior approval from principal before working any hours over those allotted to this position.

St. Benedict Catholic School under the Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown has an opening for a Pre-K Teacher.  This position provides for the spiritual direction of the students while serving as the instructional facilitator to help students learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able and responsible men and women.  Instructs students in activities designed to promote spiritual, intellectual, physical and social growth.

  • Successful completion of State Certification Tests in appropriate subject
  • Bachelor’s degree in field of education relating to teaching assignment

  • Experience with online grading and record keeping systems
  • Familiarity with PowerSchool

Our Lady of Victory Catholic School is seeking an enthusiastic Principal to lead our fantastic teaching team for the 2026-2027 school year.

Qualifications:
Required:

  • Actively practicing the Roman Catholic faith with a commitment to Catholic education
  • Able to satisfactorily complete background checks and training applicable to diocesan and state requirements
  • Master’s degree in Education or School Administration
  • Valid Pennsylvania Elementary Principal Certification
  • Previous experience in school administration
  • Demonstrated successful budgetary and fiscal management experience
  • Practical leadership and public relations knowledge including collaborating with various stakeholders to build a cohesive and positive child-centered school and greater school environments
  • Familiarity with data driven instruction
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
  • Experience with online grading and record keeping systems
  • Working knowledge of PowerSchool
  • Experience leading a school community through transformational change is a plus
  • Working knowledge of Schoology Learning Management System
